Welcome to your procurement and self-quoting portal

Key portal features

Your portal will operate from any device such as a tablet, PC or phone.

  • Search from your preferred products and find other products required from a huge range, delivered reliably and fast

  • Industry best product details, availability and pricing – on any device 

  • Fast and easy ordering

  • Track your orders

  • Check purchase history and quotes

  • Self-quoting for internal requisition approval

  • Accept quotes with a click

  • Amend address and account access changes

 

Your portal

Your portal will list approved products and services which have been approved by your organisation to purchase.

The portal is configurable to your requirements and might include several product categories.

 

Portal login

Your Datcom Account Manager will send you an email invitation to access the portal with a link to create a password. This password will not be visible to Datcom and must not be disclosed to anyone else. Should other staff require access to your company portal, please add additional accounts as per instructions below, or advise your Datcom Account Manager.

Once logged in, a long term cookie will keep you logged into the portal when accessed from that device until you log out.

Product browsing is available at any time, however login is required to see pricing, accept a quote and place an order.

If you forgot your password or wish to change it, see section Account Management below.

 

Special pricing

Negotiated pricing will be automatically displayed. 

Bulk or special pricing that applies to larger order qualities will be automatically applied when the respective quantity is added to the cart.

Quoted pricing will be automatically applied upon quote acceptance.

 

Your portal has a significant range of products. Any product from this substantial range can be searched and ordered.

1: You know which product you are looking for

If you know what you are looking for, search for products in the top search box by MPN (Manufacturer Part Number), a supplier part number or any part of a product description. Options to narrow down your search will be automatically provided.

2. Find a product by criteria

Search and browse products from the menu bar if you wish to find a product based on product criteria.

Selecting a category and sub-category will reveal the most popular products:

 
After selecting a product subcategory, click on the criteria required, or the Just released tab:

 
Products in stock will be listed by default.  Click All (next to In Stock Only) to list all current products that are current products, whether in stock or not.

Datcom may have selected recommended products in some categories. Please choose these products as they have been selected based on considerable experience. However, if you choose a product outside the recommended range, you can be assured that Datcom will check that you selection will operate properly in your operating environment. If not, you will be contacted and a better recommendation made.

A custom search can be sent to another staff member or Datcom by sending the "formatted URL".

 Click on a product to obtain industry best, detailed product information, product availability, full specifications, related products and PDF's (where available):

   

Can't find what you need?

If menu search did not help you find a product that you are after, then type any part of a product description in the top search box.

Focus the product listing by clicking on the options available:

Ordering and self-quoting

Click Specifications, Accessories, Similar Products and Downloads (where available) to obtain further information about the product selected.  

Click on the image for a larger product view and select from the other image links (where available)

Click Add to cart if you wish to order or self-quote it:

Modify the quantity required (bulk pricing will be automatically applied):

Click Continue shopping to add more products to the basket, or click on the product description to add related products.

If you wish to order right away, click the Continue to checkout button.

Alternatively, to self-quote, click the Save to quote button. You will be taken to your quotes which include quotes provided by your IT service provider.  Scroll further won for more on self-quoting.

 

Checkout

After clicking Continue to checkout, your company account details will be verified.

Add your company PO number and Coupon Code if applicable.  Click CONTINUE to verify delivery address (or add a one-off address) and select a payment option:

 

Quoting

After saving items in the cart to a quote, you will be taken to the My Quotes section of your portal. This is also accessible from the MY ACCOUNT section of the top menu.

Click Email quote to send the quote for approval, or View quote to review the quote:

To download a PDF of the quote, click View pdf.

If you wish your IT service provider to review the quote, add services or just sharpen the price, click Ask a Question to send your instructions.

Your account manager can alter the details "live" while you are on the phone; click your browser refresh to obtain the updated quote.

Once you are happy with the quote, press the green Accept Quote button. You will be taken to the checkout as described above.

A notification will appear if the quote has expired. Should you wish to proceed with the quote nonetheless, click Ask a Question to advise your IT service provider. 

 

Account Management

Click MY ACCOUNT on the top menu to obtain:

  • Account centre (for account management)

  • My Orders

  • My Quotes

  • My Downloads (digital subscription licence keys)

Account Centre

In the account centre, your account details can be changed. 

To view and change the billing address or delivery addresses, click Edit on the account summary.

Take this opportunity to provide feedback to Datcom for the work they do to serve you!

Order tracking and sales order/invoice reprinting

In  My Account > My Orders you can obtain:

  • Reprint a sales order/tax invoice and obtain product serial numbers (click View Order and Print)

  • Track delivery progress of your order or obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) (click Track order):

  

Password management

To change your password, click Change My Password

If you forgot your password, click SIGN IN on the top menu, then Forgot your password?:

An email with a password reset link will be sent to the email address entered.

           Importantly, have fun using your procurement portal!
